I didn't spot the password reset link (which Gary also mentioned) the first time around, but I had a better look this time. When Gary mentioned that link, I mistakenly looked for it on the website.
My original problem, from which the password issue sprouted, has also been resolved. It was that I was unable to purchase X10 but, shortly after raising that as a support matter (and before anyone at Xara had a chance to reply), I was then able to purchase it -- not sure why there was a problem or how it resolved, but it was.
