Well, I tried that link before I called out to my forever last resource Talkgraphics (thus thou), in fact I tried every option (html5, xfbml, iframe, url) in both <head> and <body> placeholder in Xara... But nope, no go. So????

Hi Marcia,
When you get the Facebook code, it will give you two bits of code to insert. The first section I would recommend putting in Web Properties > Page > Page Body HTML.
The second section you put in a placeholder where you want the like button to be.
I've also attached a .xar and image example if it helps
