    Default Valentine Stereogram

I'm having a Valentine Stereogram show for the month of February with the artist's reception on Valentine's Day. This is one of 12 valentine images.

All stereograms are 20" x 16". The borders are part of the stereogram.

Good one again, Gary. At first I couldn't make out the lips in front, but finally did. These ol' eyes ain't what they
    used to be.

Nice depth on the heart, Gary. Very cool idea.

Nice one Gary. Like Ron at first I couldn't tell what the image on the front of the heart was. Your graphics at the top gave me a clue so I finally figured out it was lips.

I have always found it hard to focus in the right way for any stereo-grams but I worked something out tonight that is probably self-evident.
I looked at the stereo-gram and moved my finger in close until I saw two fingers (not being rude here) covering two adjacent blobs.
Then I focused onto the tip of my finger and the stereo-gram popped up.

@gary How do you calibrate your eyeball?

My avatar eyeball? Or my two eyeballs?

I have been doing these for about 15 years so I can see them out of the corner of my eyes, literally. As long as I can see the image with both eyes I can see the hidden image.

Your technique with the fingers is a good one.

What I always tell people who say they can never see stereograms, is get as close to the image as possible, your vision will be blurry. Try to maintain that blurry vision and DO NOT focus on the image. Move very slowly away from the image (or move the image slowly away from you). You should start to get a feeling of 3D depth. If so, keep the blurry focus and see if the image becomes more clear.

It is a lot harder to see these images reduced down to this size because the actual image is 20 x 16.

    Very nice Gary.

For a long time I had a difficult time seeing the stereograms but last summer I got new glasses and it turned out that my astigmatism was part of the problem. With my glasses on the hidden image now pops out quite quickly for me, but without my glasses it is much harder for me to bring the depth into focus.

This could be a testimonial for an eye doctor Frances.

Your stereo-grams remind me a bit of the colour blindness charts used when I was a lad - normal vision presented a number or pair of numbers, while a colour perception revealed as another - I could see both as there were very subtle tints that I could spot. Perhaps I should have gone blurry.
