X9 pro Import, place, drag & drop txt file to X9 document

Just did get X9 installed, and its been a good long while since I used my previous (7 pro) so maybe this is an easy thing to do, just lacking a plugin or something.

I'd like to 'place' a txt file into my document, both import and drag and drop tells me 'The file is not recognized by any of the installed filters. This file is a plain txt document with *.txt extension. How can I go about getting it into my document.

the xaxa document is intended to be exported when finished as pdf.

First when you say X9 are you referring to Designer Pro X9? You can open your plain text file in note pad or any text editor and copy and paste the text into your Xara document.

Tried it here and both worked.
Open a text box in Xara and the text file and copy & paste as a workaround.
