I wouldn't make it as dark as Frank has, but, he has shown what needs doing.
Whereas, as others have already said, that the planet looks flat.

OK thanks guys, I revised these and I hope they look better. Maybe I still need to add the darkness like Frank did.

    Hi Larry.

Do you mind if I use one of your images to try and show you what I mean?

No not at all. Feel free Rik. I hope to learn and get better.
EDIT: Would it help if I posted the xar?

    Hi Larry.

This is my attempt to show a more rounded planet.
It might be possible to get a better result with the original file, but, it's not really necessary as you can (I hope) see what I mean?

]After reading your last post, here is another revision. I know it does not have the curved dark shape that Frank shows but is it better?

EDIT: Darn looking at this the transparencies didn't hold.

Rik I've tried to email the xar to you but kept running into trouble, maybe because it was too large. So am trying this way.
Well that didn't work either, and zipping didn't work because the zip was actually bigger. Any ideas what to try next? Maybe I can drop box it. Anyway it is a huge file, almost 58megs.
