    Default Web Resources

You will always get people making their choices about where they go to get X or Y for their resources here is mine. http://www.agiledesigners.com/
At the moment I am doing some certification and like many people I only used, when I started, GoLive, an old Adobe product, for so called web designers who couldn't code and then I progressed to Xara Webdesigner and was quite happy. After a while people started to ask for things and I hadn't a clue how to do but the web is a great place for info and a "I Frame" can do and hide a lot but there comes a time when you have got to bite the bullet and learn some code whither it be setting up a database for PHP, javascript or Ruby Rails. Webdesigner can do a lot but doing forms is a fiddle, when customers ask for an interactive site, no chance. So you have a choice do you stick with Xara products, missing work, only really producing static sites or go CMS. Well I chose going down the CMS route and chose Joomla and WordPress both with a steep learning curve at the begining and links for both are there. Also in the above site and nearly hidden down near the bottom is a great site which runs video lessons and certification it a great progressive way to learn and I highly recommend that all have a good look, its was free when I started, but you have to pay a monthly fee to participate. Anyway have a look, here is the direct link: https://teamtreehouse.com/

Thanks for sharing those links Albacore.

I found http://www.buildajoomlawebsite.com/ a great video learning source when I started using Joomla. A great many of the basic tutorials are free.
