Hi Glenn, I really love the colours in this piece. The tulips look great but for me it’s the framing of the boarder that makes the picture. There is just one thing that is not right and a lot of people do fight with it and that is “perspective”. Take a look at this JPG and notice that the horizon is at eye level and no matter how far away a figure goes into the distance they are still at eye level. On the other hand objects that are at ground level as they go into the distance as shown by the ellipses, tend to look more squashed in other words in 2D drawing the further away the ellipse is the Y axis diminishes in comparison to the X axis. I am not very good at explaining things it’s a bit like me trying to tell a Chinese man how a clock works in French and I don’t speak either language.

I think it would be really neat if we could have a monthly or bimonthly theme and one of these could be SPACE. I think that space themes are something that Larry is working on; His planets are looking quite groovy. Check out the clouds thread on the Xara Xone forum.
