I just noticed this. What a great pity. Bill helped me out on a number of occasions. It just remnds you how short life is, especially when we realise we're getting on a bit ourselves. A great shame, I only wish I had seen this post in December.

I would like to add my condolences to Bill's family. May the family find comfort in the reflections on how Bill touched the lives of so many in this online community. May he rest in peace...

That's sad news. I'll miss him.
"Communication is everything"
My sincere condolences to Bills family. Bill was a great guy and personally helped me out on more than one occasion when I got stuck trying to do something in Xara. He would write me personally and was always the first to respond--a true good Samaritan! He will be deeply missed by all of us here on the forum.
Post 51 above has the funeral home's URL and an online guestbook.
I can think of no better, lasting tribute to Bill and his memory than writing a little of your experience with him, just so his sister and mother can see it.
Neither of them are "computer people", and they were fairly unaware of his status on TalkGraphics. Our Administrator called his sister and tried to explain, but try explaining television to someone who has never seen it.
I believe Barbara is going to send hard copy of this thread to them next month.

OMG i've not logged in for a few months simply because of people like Bill's help I've become a lot better at Xara and post a lot less problems, Bill helped me with so many things from 2009 onwards, i can even remember having a laugh and joke with him at the end of the threads he helped me on. today i just logged in with a bitmap tracer problem after months and i am so saddened to read this it seems like i've lost a dear friend. the reality of life comes with death. RIP Bill - may the Lord bless you and thank you for being my 'Xara guy'.

Wow, quite a shock. I haven't visited the forum for a while but I'll miss seeing Bill's name and posts here.
You have been AWOL for some time Dennis.
