Website previewing at 1/2 size!

Why does a previewed website come out at only 1/2 the screen size using Xara Designer Pro 6? I am viewing on a 1920x1080 widescreen and have used the template supplied by Xara.

Isn't the preview at the actual size? It doesn't matter how big your monitor is, it's the document page size that counts.

Xara designs to a specific fixed and this is what you are seeing. The websites do not changes size depending on the device or monitor.

I can see that in the program that the background (black in this case) can be widened without affecting the size and scale of text and pictures. Would this be an easy solution to creating a solid black background?
