If I apply the slice first, then apply feathering, it will still feather along the sliced joint line.

What if you make a copy and use clipview on both?

I've experienced a disturbing turn of events. Several of the maps are to span two adjacent book pages. And it doesn't matter whether I use a custom pen (employing blending colors) + clipview, or feathering + clipview. If I draw a vertical line at the mid-plane, then slice the soft-grouped underlying map, I get undesirable results. In the later case, for example, feathering occurs at the new cut-line. Ideas? thx.

Using the method I suggested in post #2 and then slicing the result in two does not result in the 'disturbing' effect you mention if you first 'lock' the effect..




(Note: The LE 'lock' icon does not change to a 'locked' lock graphic, it only depresses, perhaps this is an oversight by Xara?)
