Default New Rolling Stones single "Doom and Gloom" out now

Remember where you saw it first, the new Rolling Stones single "Doom and Gloom" is out now and for the first time in over 30 years, I have to say it's pretty good.
Check out the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPFGWVKXxm0 you will enjoy the graphics, I'm sure.

It's very Rolling Stones. But the little girls will still lust after Justin Blabber.

They're playing some dates next year, as well.

You can listen to the new single on that same site if you catch it right.

Not a bad song I guess for some over the hill rockers. But is kind of depressing. Doom and Gloom in the Louisiana swamp? Graphics are nice but what do the stones know about living in the dirt and being poor in America? They should retire along with "The Who" and "Led Zepplin"

Gosh Bruce that's a bit Doom & Gloom. They still produce a good show, maybe not quite as good as they did in the middle to late 70's. I still want to hear the Who one more time but that may or may not happen.

How many newer bands will still be around in even half the time the Stones have been?

Older bands - my favourite being Rush - can still produce music which is head and shoulders above what many newer bands can ever aspire to.

I've never been a huge Stones fan, but that's just personal taste more than anything else. I don't think it's written anywhere that you can't produce music when you reach a certain age - unfortunately, many young people naively assume that age is some sort of barrier.

    Wisdom only comes with age.

Heard that Rush are to disband yesterday which is a shame as they put also good live shows on.

They're not disbanding - it's just that over the last couple of months two band members have pointed out that they can't go on forever.

Since they're all getting on for 60 now, it's not surprising. I've been expecting their last three tours to be their last!
