Default Gradient Fill - Beveled Edge (Link Example Included)

    Hi,

Was looking for insight on how to create the gradient fill on the grayish menu as well as making only a portion of the rectangle with a beveled edge such as the link shown below.

    Thanks in advance.

I think the quickest way to make the shape is to create a rounded corner rectangle, put 3 squares in the corners, select all of them then right click >> combine shapes >> add shapes

I can't see a bevel but there is a drop shadow and partial transparency. With the object selected press G for the gradient tool, click and drag from the top to the bottom of the object to define the gradient (hold down the Ctrl button to constrain the movement in the vertical) You will then be able to Tab between the 2 points to set the required colour. Press Ctrl+F2 to select the shadow tool and adjust settings. press F6 for the transparency tool and set to about 10%.
