@ Gare: At last I had an opportunity to follow your destructions. Once I got hold of the idea of the transparent bitmap copy resized as a repeating tile over the cheese & tomato it was easy. Thanks, Gary.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. Groucho Marx.
@ Bob...Tastefully done, Sir! (my destructions?!)
I created a 1961 counter top pattern, as long as we are on a kitchen theme here.
@Frances—the tapestry is BEAUTIFUL. Continue along these lines, I recommend. It's by far the m ost elegant and multi-purpose tile you have going on this thread!
My Best,
Gary

I made these repeating mosaic seamless tiles by using Spray for Xara, nothing to techy but they work fine as seamless tiles, not sure to what use though
Stygg
Hi Sygg—
No bitmap is an island. I can think of a use for your tile right away, just not in Xara.
It would make a great bump map for a snakeskin texture!
Hey, try thin with a decent sized copy and Xara's Live Effects bump filter.

I once rented a flat in Cheltenham and the kitchen wallpaper was a bit like the attached, only more garish, think primary yellow orange and purple (this was the 1970s). Needless to say we ate in the dining room. Inspired by Gare's interlocked circles, I made a variation of my own for this. The .xar file is attached.
Bob.

@Bob, regarding your flat's wallpaper—
I like the colours you used, forgetting what your wallpaper inspiration might be.
And don't hesitate to overlap elements! Those circles and paperclippish-looking guys could be overlapped.
My Best,
Gary
Hi Gary,
not to sure what you mean with "thin" anyhow I tried the bump map and the result I got was rather snake like, although I doubt the colour. I've uploaded the xar. file in case anyone wants to adapt this or find use for it.

@stygg...
My mistyping. Try this with...
It looks very nice. Click here to watch "SnakeSkin:The Motion Picture"
Hey, there are a lot of uses for a seamless tile. Stygg's would also make nice panels for a leather-working brochure.
