What kind of snake is that Rich? Interesting the way it is doubling back on itself.

Gary,
Probably a Garter Snake. I looked at a lot of pictures, including a local plumber. They are one of the only things welcome in the garden. We have lots of foliage and fountains and fun places for them. I was surprised to find this one between the shed and shed door about four feet off the ground. We are just starting to get warm weather. About two days so far. The snake was there for a long time. I closed the door and it stayed there for a few more hours.

an easy way to find out if it is a garter snake is to disturb it that scent it uses to protect its self is unmistakeable (and nasty!)
