I think these images are quite remarkable, some quite beautiful:

Colour images seem to feel as though you are looking "in the moment", B&W doesn't quite do that for me in the same way.

Very nice find Paul. Colour does provide a living feeling to the photos.

My grandmother was born in Lithuania and would probably relate to the first few photos if she were still alive.
Then again, maybe not. I took her to see the movie Fiddler on the Roof and asked her if the play reminded her of Lithuania. She said, no. They did not have theaters in Lithuania.

I'm very impressed by their quality. You can't help but wonder what they saw in their lives. Traumatic times followed.
I actually prefer the old b/w movies as they were and hate it when someone coloursizes them many years later. But I have to admit seeing photos of days go by in colour actually makes me feel like I am there where as b/w photos always feel somewhat detached, some truly remarkable images there and I have to agree with pauland the the quality is indeed impressive.
