Help with Painter 12, which brush should I use?

I would just copy the drawing, paste it onto a new layer and place it where the shadow would fall, choose shadow map from the layer panel composite method, adjust the transparency to set the shadow darkness. Then erase out of the shadow layer any unwanted lines.
