Default Fill window hides entities in drawing window

If I drag a Fill from the popout Fill Gallery onto the page when the cursor is over the page and the Fill gallery has parked itself again the screen under the previous Fill Gallery dialogue box is blank.
Sometimes the thing I want to fill is complelety invisible and so I can't drop the fill into.
The screen shot below is one where i have some of the enity visible and shows the Fill waiting to be dropped in place.
Is this a bug or am I missing something please?

    Hi Richard,

Yes, I think it's a bug but it's easy to work around.

    You can either:
    * "Pin" the fill gallery open so that it does not obscure the drawing. (Click the small "pushpin" icon near the top right of the gallery window.)
    or
    * Undock the fill gallery so that it floats over a spare part of the screen.

    thanks Phil
I hadn't thought of 'Pin' the gallery.

I did just (try to) make sure anything I wanted filled was outside the shadow of that box but my forgetory kept getting in the way.

And you can always use the Push Tool to move the canvas to the left (assuming your gallery is docked on the right). There are several shortcut keys assigned to Push, but I generally just hold down the mousewheel and drag.
