Default Fade Effect Slideshow, background colour?

I'm trying the Fade Effect Slideshow widget, and have altered the size of the pictures used, substituting my own, and edited the text to suit.

The problem, is that while editing in Xara Designer 7, the background of this widget appears to be invisible, when not directly under editing. When the page is tested, the background is blinding white. Is there any way to edit this background so that it is the same as my page background?

I believe the simple answer is no.

The Fade Effect Slideshow is designer for images to fill the entire area.

If you have to have your images smaller than the actual size of the slideshow images, and you are displaying the slideshow over a colored background, then cheat it.

Create a rectangle the same size as the slide show image, change the color to match your page background and add your smaller photos.

Create a bitmap copy (PNG True Color) of the rectangle and image and use this for your photo(s).
