Moonartz - your designs look great. I've been watching the many things you have uploaded lately and I think they look really good, and are a great showing of what can be done with Xara products and some talent!

So - was there an evolution from the original design to the final or were they two different ideas presented with one preferred over the other?

These are two different projects, the client chose the second
I always make two or tree sketches to choose.

Really like your first drawing if the Blend glow was strong enough when printed I think it's wonderful.

I have done a few packs and I was caught out once like you I put the fold lines on the packaging but on a separate layer and wrote on the disc I gave to printer on the label side of the disc, a read me file in the disc, and off the art board that this layer had to be switched off before printing. The packaging was for a local supplier to the building trade and the fold lines were for his benefit, but 7500 of these files were printed and it made me feel that I was unprofessional. Never again I have always given clients a cut and glued mock up and only show the fold lines off the printed package.
    Design is thinking made visual.

    This is only preview
I sent to printer "clean" files - no line, shape + 5mm bleed*for*cuting mould.
