Lost my property bars?

I would like to see (always) the properties of whatever tool I am using. Somehow (not without my novice help) they have dissapeared from the screen. To be more explicit, when using the text tool, point size, font, etc, or when drawing a rectangle, the dimensions,etc. I'd appreciate any help.

Hi can you try resetting your control bars please?

Select the Control bars option from the Window menu and click on the button labelled 'reset'

Sorry Gary, but thats a bit far. Although, whenever I go home to France, I always take 5 lbs of Pastrami with me. Home now, will return to the states in early Sept.
