Need help after a crash..

I need some help here guyz...
I had a power failure at home for a split of a second which caused my computer to shut off immediately.
When I started it again, I couldn't open the file I was working in, and I get an error message..

A read eror occurred (unknown) with the file:
file path\....\ file.xar
[ OK ] [ Help ]

The error appears while the contents of the file are visible except for a raster image which doesn't matter much. The file contents are blocked by the error message.

The layers in the file are:

sketch
Your basic need
logo
know b4 ugo
background
Wecome
layer1
(I don't need the "sketch" layer)

I need to get this file working, can somebody help me pleeeez?!!

I have the same problem with a .web file. When running expandxar, it lists a "DoImport failed" error but creates the output file (same size as original damaged file and shows correct preview image). When I try to open it, says "An unknown PNG error has occurred." Then an error "This file was produced by a newer or different version of the program. It contains some data that will be ignored. It then opens to a blank .web file.

The file was created with the same Web Designer version as I'm trying to open it in. (5.0.1.xxxx)

I read on another thread that expandxar works on .web files, is that correct?

Can anyone help?

Hello ppdmarketing, Here is a link to download a front end UI version of expandxar. I would recomend, if you don't have the most recent version (6) that you have a look at XaReg a great utlility created by Bill(Soquili) and Steve(Sledger) I know it is a case of closing the barn door after the horse is already out but it could save you in the future. Xareg can be found on the Sharreware page at the Xara Xone.

Thanks, I have that and have used it but unfortunately had it turned off at this time
