I found even a better solution (for web site lines); draw a box and make it a placeholder for a DIV with border-top css element. While that alone is not so designer friendly, don't forget to tick the checkbox "Re-generate placeholder image automatically" and there you have the visuals as well.

    Amazing feature from Xara!!

Why not create a custom brush stoke?

BTW I never knew that distance between steps applied to blends on a path. That is excellent.

Interesting. I created a blend along a path. I tried to change the blend step distance to 2px but got an error message that the distance is too small and there will be too many blend steps.

Then I increased the number of blend steps to 999, the maximum, and checked the blend step distance and it is 0.8px.

    Bad math?

Because when the line gets longer the dots start to fall out of pixel grid. Not that anybody would see it, but it is there and it bugs me.

I won't bother myself proving this but I feel the Blend tool might be a bit broken. If nothing more it is slightly inaccurate.
