Nice. I have thought of doing this, but ran into border issues. How did you create the US map? I'm looking for process. Did you do an outline and then slice out things or somehow use common borders?

When you say "name the states", do you mean so it's visible or so they are "named" in xara?

    Hi Slavelle,
I Kinda cheated I downloaded a Kids Map outline in eps format and Canada eps format then a bitmap with states and drew outlines, had been doing off and on for ages never completing so decided to complete it. Seems like you and I are the only ones interested tho'. I had originally planned to do similar to the Province map I mad with 'pop-ups' but got side tracked.
Feel free to use how you want or just store it for future reference.
It is not truly accurate in some areas but close enough.
As for naming just a wish don't know what to use it for.

Lovely - well, here's the reason I was initially interested: I did a website for the Driver Education Foundation of America and there is a map on the site where people can click their state. Currently, it is an image map that I got off Google and really doesn't match the site because of all the colors used. I wanted to make a mono color version of it or maybe some combo of complimentary colors rather than the hodgepodge. This map would let me do that, though I'd need to do all the layer manipulations to get highlights for each state to happen.

A project for a long not-busy afternoon since it will likely have limited use...

    Thanks for the resource, however.

Nice. I'll have to play with it a bit, but your work is appreciated - I'm sure what you did was pretty tedious (though I did notice a few things don't pop up there yet).
