Default Fillet, chamfer and scallop edges?

Is there a way to fillet/chamfer and scallop edges in Xara?

I don't believe there is a simple method. However it is possible. The attached XAR file shows you one method. There may be easier ways that others know.

You can also make scalloped circles using the quickshape tool.

I do hope filleting individual points will be added to Xara soon. That would be one of the vector improvements that so many ask.

Currently you can have rounded corners in your rectangles but it is applied to all of the points.

I would like to draw my own odd shape and fillet/bevel the corners I see fit.

My workaround is to use boolean operations with pieces from rounded rectangles. Not so fast and not too easy...

It would be good to be able to design one's own pressure shapes, dash patterns, arrowheads, line ends, etc., too. Although Xara has a wide range, it is finite, and limited to what Xara feels we're allowed to have.

Thanks, Tony, for your graphic description of border shaping. It's very clear.
