If you select an object with the mould tool you see on the tool's bar just to the left of the Remove button a little grid-like icon which if you hover displays 'toggle mesh'. Doesn't seem to do anything nor is there anything I can find in the help. Anyone know what this is?

Hi Phil. The mesh, which helps you to maintain vertical and horizontal paths, can be difficult to see depending on your object's fill colour. You may just be able to make out the grid of dots in my attachment.

Thanks for this. I don't seem to see the mesh, but I'll have a closer look in Xara. At least I now know that the thing does something.

Okay, I was just able to see the 'dots', more like tiny lines but they're so faint as to be almost useless looks like; seemed to disappear too when I zoomed in. Maybe this is something that needs Xara's attention some day? Best to rely on the grid and or make one's own lines probably.

I've blown up the screen to offer a close up view of the mesh dots.
Not much in the Help file on Toggle Mesh.

the mesh dots tend to become clearer the further out you zoom [at least on my machine]

Even if you can barely see the grid, the "snap to grid setting" makes a difference in adjusting the object.

I really like that effect, Frances. After a few false starts with the coloration, I finally produced something close to your result. I'm much faster at it now, although, I still think yours looks better. It reminds me of main titles on comic books or movie posters. Somewhat Raiders of the Lost Ark-ish, but that may be because of the colors that were used.

    Way FUN!,
