Do I get much to upgrade to X5?

Do I really need to do so?

I use X4 to do ads for a small monthly newspaper and have not spent a lot of time with WD as yet - can I do everything in WD I can do in X4? If so, why would I need X5?

Sort of feeling like I have been had by the short time between WD and X5.

Only you can decide if upgrading to Xtreme 5 is worth doing so.

You can download the trail version and use it for 30 days. If you decide not to upgrade simply delete the trial version. http://www.xara.com/us/downloads/xtreme/

You can have multiple versions of any Xara program installed and they do not interfere with each other.

I upgraded from X4+WD to X5. My cost (again, limited time) was a whopping $24US, plus $8 for shipping the CD (sometime soon). For that, I get all of the enhancements that are listed at the webpage that I referenced above. I'm happy.

No, Xtreme 5 can do everything WD can and more.

Both. WD doesn't have a lot of design tools that all Xtremes have.

It's quite simple. XWD is a truncated version of Xtreme 5. Xtreme 5 has all that XWD has plus a complete tool set. Xtreme Pro 5 has all that Xtreme 5 has plus additional features.
Comparing with Xtreme 4, WD has huge html export improvement as well as some other small features not available in Xtreme 4 (spell checker, soft groups some interface improvements etc.). But it only has a basic drawing tools (for example no blends, bevels, extrude, contour, live effects), many usual Xtreme features are missing in WD.

I believe he upgraded Xtreme4+WD to Xtreme5. Both not Pro.
