    Well looks like I'm home like I said. The lamp above took 30 minutes to create so not that hard. RD I feel now is just a great tool rather than a good design app as you soon grow out of it due to some missing features.. But hey a very good tool.

    Anyways I'm off to have a look at the Tut CD I got with Xara last year.. Isn't that bad 6 or months ago and didn't give it a go..... Bad Casey!

    Hey John,

    Wasn't that worm/snake created using a brush?? If so, Casey, it's even easier than you hoped.

    I threw this together just now. It's pretty clear but if you have questions then don't hesitate to ask. I think Gary has a more in depth tutorial on worms, since he loves them so much!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    Have fun Casey. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I can see this brush easily being the neck of the lamp with a few more adjustments!!

    Hello Casey Web Design,

    Nice drawing, Can it be done in Xara X1. I would say a most definent yes. Have you seen any of the works by the real masters? Have you seen sarah X by valery? It is awesome!

    Richard,

    The snake is a blend along a curve. Multiple gradient circles gave the snake it's coloring size, and stripes.

    WElcome To Talk Graphics Casey web Design,

    Wait a little while, maybe a day. Dimitry's site might have overbooked it's limit for the day. Then again servers do go out to lunch every so often.

    Hi Casey Web Design,

    Here is one better than a tut;

    select: Help=>Movies=>Blending objects - Advanced

    This should help you make your very own headless snake. You can have multiple step blends too... That is how I made the body of the Nuke also.

    Old drawing of desk top clutter (a favorite topic of mine as it's very cluttered usually), bringing a xara drawing of a lamp, not a bendy one but slightly bent anyway, originally produced in CorelXara and imported into X1 for some additional bits.

    derek

    Thanks John,

    Was hoping it was a temp thing!

    I'm an old RealDRAW user/forum member well not that old i still use it, Been using Xara more recently as it has greater tool funtions. Then they go and release a new version. Great news. RD isn't going to get an update for a while so I think I've found a new home. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Looks like I'll have to convert my RD site into a Xara tutorials site.
