button used to download a file

Can anyone tell me how I get a button in extreme pro 5 to download a file of my server. In other words, you click on one of xara buttons and it fetches a specific file off my site?

Please read which thread you are posting to. Although this area is at the top of the list, it's the support area for The Official Guide book. Choosing the top area on TG when you need support is sort of like always choosing Ariel as a typeface because it's at the top of the fonts list.

If you're trying to make a link button for a website whose action is to go download a file,
you open the Website bar (under Windows>Control Bars), select your button or text, click the link button, and then enter a valid URL as my attachment shows.

But then again, I covered this in the book
