    Default Naming New Color Option

In watching a movie tutorial in my trial version it shows when you name a new color it goes into the color selection bar.

Will the new color stay in my selection bar all of the time, or will it only be there while I am working and disappear once I close the program?

    Hi Glenda,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

Your named colour will always be in the project in which it is created. That is as long as you do not delete it.

Thank you for your quick reply

To make sure I have this clear, when I am working on a graphic and put the name in the bar it appears if I open that graphic file again, but if I open a new blank page that color is not there? Right?

I was hoping when I named it the new color it would stay in my bar permanently to use at my will.

You are correct that a new named colour will normally only be in the file for the graphic where the colour was named.

You can create a .xar file with all your named colours and save it in the Color Gallery. Once you have the file in the gallery you can have it added to your Color Line every time you open Xtreme.

You can download a palette of 375 named colours from the thread:
    http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=35888

Instructions on where you save the palette (or your own named colours .xar file) is in that thread.

You can also download a palette of colours create by ss-kalm (Keith) from the thread:

When you have your palette (.xar) or Keith's or my palette in your Palette Folder you can have it shown in the Color Line.

Open the Color Gallery and expland the section for the palette then right click it's name and select Show in Color Line to place a check mark there.

Instead of opening the file every time you want to create a new document, you can save it as a default template.
I have a color palette that has every color you have in the normal palette,
    I'm uploading it.
If you save this file as a template and click in default option, every time you create a new document this color palette appears.
This file also has visible the ruler and guides.
I also deactivate the standar palette because they are the same colors I have named.
    Un abrazo
