Flash won't show on mouseover

I created a flash file animation. I then created a box in a web page, went to the placeholder and applied the file to the box. I created a separate frame for this animation.

I then went to a nav button and applied the mouseover feature to that frame. At first, the file played on mouseover, but now it has ceased to work. Any suggestions?

The flash placeholder needs to go onto a pop up layer. And make sure the placeholder is linked to your flash file.

Link your trigger button to Mouse-Over > Show Popup Layer.

You may have managed to unlink something. So go back and check your links.

Thanks Gary. Now, on mouseover the animation works, but the linked page shows before the animation. How do I get the animation to show before the new page opens?

Put a duplicate of your mouse off button on the pop up layer with your Flash animation. Alter the color of this button as if it were a mouse over button.

Link this button as desired. It will do nothing until pressed.
