    Default Need a shortcut list

Think I've seen a link to a XX shortcut list before but I didn't bookmark it. I'm needing to know how to constrain the size of an object when I grab the size handles...such as a circle when I'm resizing it with the handles. I have to eyeball it to keep it circular.

    Burpee,

The Control key will do what you want. For details on other shortcuts, check the Help File under Menus and Keyboard Shortcuts

    SHIFT + Drag (corners)

Ctrl+Drag for initially drawing a perfect circle, but not resizing

    Burpee,

Check out this link: Xara Keyboard Layout

That may help you out. As Fred C pointed out, the Xara Help File is a valuable resource, too.

Xara supply a handy card with the CD versions of their Xtreme software.
If you have lost yours you can download a scanned copy as a .xar file from here (6mb).

I'm not sure why, but it's not working for me. Before I asked here, I tried ctrl, alt, spacebar, shift key and a combination of all of them. Nothing worked to constrain the circle to a circle as I resized it.

Since reading this I've checked all the links and dug out my XX shortcut card that came with the CD.

Holding Ctrl only constrains the direction and angle. It still allows me to distort the circular shape as I drag.

I know that you can keep a shape accurate as you resize because I've done it. Don't know why it's not working for me now ...grrr.

Actually, you may have the aspect lock 'un' locked.
    Check on the info bar.

It's the little things in life that can stop the cogs turning. Thanks Sledger, that's what it was.
