Been working more with photography lately. Learning how to work with some new lights I have. Here is a quickie test I did with the results of one test.

It isn't the easiest thing to get a white background behind a model. Took a bit of research and a lot of testing to get the background white without slicing and dicing or backlighting the model and losing all the stray hair detail.

This one took a bit of creating. It is so complicated that the computer was stretched to the limit in resources. In the end, each slight adjustment was taking the program and the computer about 15 to 30 seconds to complete, so I had to stop modifying this 'n' that and declare the graphic finished. Just a bit of interest on a dull and chilly afternoon.

That's really interesting Mart. Did you use a mould on the blends?

If you convert the blends to editable shapes then the redraw time is greatly reduced while applying a mould.

This was an experiment with feathered shapes and transparencies. I thought these bubbles came out kind of neat looking.

Yes, that is how that part was done. Thanks for the tip about converting the blends. If you suspect this graphic was started with no particular idea of where it was going, then you'd be right . I still enjoyed the afternoon spent doing it though and it did turn out interesting. I'll bet I couldn't draw it again!

Playing with tshirt shading here and experimenting with big eyes that are not exactly my favourite Composition is simple and background is recycled older spiral work. Unfortunately lower JPEG compression reduces quality significantly - higher quality (204kb) is here.

This is about a 12-15 year old picture of me, but I like it better than most.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
