Question about Xara 4 pro

Hi Xara Team, could you please explain to me
about how Xara pro 4, is handling multiprocessors better
and is more memory efficient?,

It seems when i go to use it, even though my system is pretty darn fast
vista 64 premium, 8 gig ram, intel quadcore 6700 processor,geforce 8800gt
and the system sees 7320 meg on bootup

When i try to do anything say like 180 inches or more,
something strange happens to the objects that contain bevels from the Xara Bevel menu
upon exporting to tiff,the bevel becomes distorted, don't know
if anyone has had this happen yet, just curious.
it also seems to run out of memory, which is ridiculous! with Xara Pro 4
I paid extra to have the pro version, because it was supposed to be more robust,

However it appears, that Xara Xtreme 2.0f imports tiffs quicker,
and what is up with the converting documents for import
it seems like you wait a long time, for this box to pop up
the computer waits and waits, and then the question would you like to merge,

This seems unnecesssary, why can't it work like it did before?

Don't misunderstand me, i love drawing with Xara, but the pro version
has too many quirks in it still, to consider anything serious.

We do a lot of large format design and printing, with our company and Xara Xtreme 2.0
has this beat hands down, sorry guys i think this needs to go back to the drawing board.

With that all said, would anyone care to share what settings
they use for tuneups in the options panel, that may restore my faith
in Xara 4 pro, maybe some hints.

Maybe it is my settings, i would just like to know how to optimize Xara 4 pro
if someone has similar specs,

I believe there are issues with quad processors, I suggest you do a search on multi-processors or something along those lines.

I think it is more to do with the 64 bit OS rather than the quad core! I am on a quad processor and I don't have the same problems like you when you export tiff files. I use that sort of export with InDesign as some PDF imports don't work that well with ID.

hey,

i can confirm the bevels output problem. i had just a rounded rectangle with bevel and one wor type on it and tried to export a 1 m wide file with 150 dpi and the bevel came out distorted with parts missing in the middle. i just did it in indesign then - worked - no problem.
