I like the way the flowers reflect in the gold lettering. How was that done please?

10 minute - bottle design concept which I posted in the Bottle Design Forum.

Small gold lettering demo.
Any reflective surface takes on some of the colours of the objects around, the colours being reflected in that surface. In fact any object, refective or not, will be affected by what is around it; a red ball on a table surounded by green apples and yellow bananas will have its colour altered by the presence of the green and yellow light being reflected on it, as will the green apple or yellow banana having red light reflected onto them. This is good for pencil crayon manufactures as even if you are just drawing the red ball you need at least a yellow and green as well.

My goodness. Simon is doing more complex stuff... Better watch out he will be teaching Valdimir soon...
Nice job Simon...
Ah yes. Just because I usually choose not to doesn't mean I can't...
Seriously, you're not suddenly going to see me branching out into photorealism any moment yet, simply because there are people out there who can do it ten times better than me with a tenth the effort! I like minimalism (check my "Twinkle..." post if you haven't yet) partly because of the end result, partly because of the simplicity of the process and partly because I'm just about the only one doing it at the moment.
Meanwhile, here is a portrait of my younger son, William (2) using a photo manipulated with the Bitmap Tracer and Dmitry's Raster app.
