I, for one, will opt for the movies and the manual. Of course private free lessons are always welcome too...

Go to the Xaraxone... Lots and lots of free lessons there... Many of the moderators/regulars have done step by step videos on a whole range of subjects, Sledger, Egg, and several others come readily to mind. You can find links to their movies usually in their sigs.

The only drawback is the voice overs are not nearly as sexy as the movies provided by xara.
