Isn`t the picture supposd to get moulded? Here it only created
an outcut in the shape of the mould.
Is this how it is supposed to be or do I do something wrong?

The mould tool doesn't work on bitmaps, at least not in the version I'm using.
That's correct - only the perspective envelopes will work with bitmaps.
You can use the 'Barrel/Pincushion Correction' LE multiple times...
You may need to 'convert to editable shapes' between each repeat.

You could copy, modify the bitmap and then do a blend between the bitmaps. I think Availor did a Mini Tut on this a while back.
The Perspective envelopes (straight sided) work.
I covered the fish eye lens effect (by blends) in Workbook 64
And there are several deforming filters now in the Live Effects Tool.

Hi Popeye
Just dropped in to say hello to Norm and also saw your thread. Well, I am still using version 2.0 so I really don't know what's what with the latest version.
However, playing in my program which will mould bitmaps, I tried another solution that may work in your version. Just create a square in xara and do your mould on this. Then add your picture either as a bitmap fill or use clipview. I have included an example of a moulded square with a clipview installed. Hope this works. Sometimes things advance so much we forget the old ways, but that would never happen here with this great gang, would it?????? .........frank
Not too sure what is happening. I uploaded the image, it was successfully loaded but it is not showing. Did an edit, uploaded a second time and it is still not showing, so it may end up with two identical images eventually.....sorry about that if it happens. By the way, it is a png at 580 x 429 pixels so it is within the upload limits

Thanks Gary, I know that solution, and used it a couple of times.
I really appreciated that you discovered that one, because it is a great effect. I just tought that mould also worked on photo's but I actually
never did it before. But there are sultions for it, so everyone thanks for
the replies, I will try them and see.
And I didn`t now about the plugins, I will check them out too.

Yup, didn't realize that there was a size limit but I always try to size my images at 600 pixels or less to accomodate even those still on dial up.
Anyway, talk about bad influences. Ankhor started talking about moulds, others about plugins and the brain just followed. Today, this image is just the basic, old fashion, nothing fancy about it, vector image. In otherwords, a square converted to editable shape and modified with the shape editor tool with a cllip image in it, done in version 2.0 and probably can be done in earlier versions.
Version 4 has been ordered but since it does not run in win98 I will probably have to use it as a paper weight for a while........frank

There's always the option of tracing then moulding.
