    Jinz,

I'm not sure how Drifter constructed this. However in Xara 3D, as in Xtreme, there is sometimes more than one way to complete any task.

I think Drifter would be better answering, as to how this was done, as I suspect that he could teach me something here too.

If you want to know how I would have done it, it would be as follows:

    1. Type required text into Xara 3D.
    2. Press [a|b] button on toolbar to activate text cursor.
    3. Press "Home" to move cursor to beginning of text.
    4. Press "Shift-Right arrow to highlight first character.
    5. Change colour, extrusion, animation, bevelling and add texture as required.
    6. Press "Right arrow"
    7. Press "Shift-Right arrow" to highlight next character.
    8. Repeat steps 5-7 as required.

If you want adjacent items to have the same characteristics, just highlight multiple characters in step 7.

As long as a character is highlighted, any actions that you perform, are just on that character.

If you import vectors from Xara Xtreme, have the text cursor activated (Step 2). That way any import will not overwrite the current import.

Treat any single import (no matter how complex or how many shapes) just the same as you would treat any single text character.

    Hope this works for you.

Any more questions just ask. As long as you are willing to try, someone will be willing to answer questions.

Steve, that's all there is to it. You're right. Quite simple. [Sorry I haven't been on the computer in a while. I work 12 hour days and on those days I don't even turn on the computer, just come home and pass out till it's time to get up and go back to work..... ]
