Exclamation New Year in the Xara Xone - New Look - New Schedule

    The January 1 Xara Xone

    New schedule:

    Every odd number month
FEATURED ARTISTS GALLERY on the 1st
XTREME STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL on the 15th

    Every even number month
THE GUEST TUTORIAL on the 1st
    THE WORKBOOK on the 15th

In other words, Gary is slowing down a bit. :-)

This month, Paul, Stephen and I have added a gallery of 3D stereograms. Have a look.

    Really cool stuff you guys.
I have to admit, though, some of them I could not see. My eyes are failing me.

Great new theme on the Xone Gary.

I have problems seeing the stereo pairs. The Rock n Roll stereo pair was the only one I managed to see in 3D. But it strained my eyes to do so.

All the floating and hidden stereograms are great and easy to view.

I'm getting better at seeing these, but they still makes my eyes water - the ones I picked up on were the ducks, the maze, the candyman and the horse - thanks to all - great stuff.

It has been my misfortune (I'm sure) to have never (ever) been able to see anything in any SG I have ever looked at.

I find that I can't see the stereo pair images combine at all unless I use the improvised tool I made.
Take 2 sheets of printer paper and roll into tubes to a size large enough to accommodate your eyes. Tape together if you want to keep them for future use.
Hold them up to both eyes . Close the right eye and center the left viewing tube on the left image. Then, Close left eye and center right viewing tube on the right side image. Then open both eyes and the images will instantly join as one. Very low tech, but it works!

Aha! Maybe I have a use for those spent paper towel tubes !?

As your method seems to work (for you) one could extrapolate that those people who are able to see the hidden images in SG's without similar aids do infact have natural 'tunnel vision'

The stereo pairs are pretty easy for me to see but then I look at these things all the time. The tubes idea is a good solution because basically you need to get your eyes to view the pairs, and most stereograms as well, with both eyes looking straight ahead. Your focus is really more like you were looking at something across the room instead of on the page or on the screen.

Our natural tendency is to focus our eyes on the surface of what we are looking at, not through the surface.

I've never understood the fascination for those things. But then some people liked Pet Rocks , so go figure. Personally I find them boring and a waste of time. Looks like another version of Where's Waldo-yawn! lol!!!

I guess they're good time wasters if you have nothing better to do.

    Whatever.

I find them fun. I like looking at something that provides a challenge or draws me in as well as works that are just plain artistic talent.

I really think they're enjoyable to look at.
