Brush Tool to KEEP attributes!!

Hello,..OK,..is there any way to take my custom settings for my freehand brush tool,..(the tapered line I chose and the line width that I chose as well as the amount of smoothing etc.) and make it STAY so that everytime I open Xara, it is exactly the same way I left it? Everytime I do this and it asks me to set it and I do,..the next time I open Xara X it's back to the default line.

Set all the attributes (Line size, style, color) and got to File-Save Template, then check Use As Default Template.

I couldn't get the smoothing level to save.

This also set's your line attributes for the shape editor too. So beware of this

Thanks! This is what I needed! I will also be aware that it effects the shapes too,..but that is ok.

You could always draw a few of your most common lines off the mattboard and save them with your default template. Whenever you want a different line, then select the desired line and copy it (CNTRL-C). Press esc to deselect everything, then select paste attributes and you have a new default line. Just line using the brush gallery in PS or ILLY. This will work with everything except the freehand smoothing, which is only one setting...

Ok John - just not a term I'd come across in the context of xara - usually use page and pasteboard [greyarea] myself.
Really just checking I wasn't missing something - thanks
