Question replacing existing text in a photo

Hello all, I maintain my parents website and they are wanting me to change the existing text in their logo that is a jpg and I'm not sure how to begin. I would appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to say as the text is just coloured pixels in the image all you could do as clone over the text then add new. If you have access to the original you would be best to start a new. When doing this if the image is saved as psp with the text layer as vector It would allow changes at a later date Just make a jpeg or gif copy to place on the net
