ArtRage has fewer tools, but you can clone with it. I drew this from a photograph and painted it once it was drawn.

I don't care for the cloning you get with CorelPainter Essentials.

And whereas you can do a lot the same thing with many programs, what is nice about ArtRage is it is less frustrating if you just like to paint. If you want to do post production work, add text, etc., you can do that in Painter, not ArtRage. I wish there were more kinds of brushes, but you can figure out how to achieve what you want nevertheless.
