    Default gradation problems

Just wanted to know if the gradation banding is normal?

    Hi Behzad,

I do not see any banding.

Are you seeing banding within Xara Xtreme Pro or in a 3rd party application viewing the .jpg file?

What colour depth do you have your display setting?
I always have mine set to TrueColor 32bit.

Hi, well I have mine set at 32bit too. I have a widescreen, it is new and I guess it is the first time i noticed it on this monitor.

It has gradation in xara and every other graphic program I look at.

    So sad

My monitor is set to 32 bit, I don't get it. crap
I even tried my older versions of xtreme pro and even xara xtreme
    still the same

Looks as smooth as belt sander thumbs to me.

Don't ask, I actually did that once.

Now i feel sad, I knew this graphic card was crap, as soon as I upgraded to a LCD this happened. Oh well I got to invest in a new card anyways.

    Hi Wabbit,

The graduations as smooth as a babies bottom.

I know very little about LCD screens but I remember reading that unlike CRT monitors, LCD's are best run at the default resolution (I've no idea what yours is, you'll need to read the specifications).

What I'm trying to convey is that LCDs are built for a specific resolution and whilst they will run under different resolutions they don't do a good a job as CRT's.

Try putting your monitor back to the manufacturers recommended resolution ~ do you still see the banding?
