I saw this topic idea posted on another board... and I thought that it was indeed an abstract idea to model and render... as pretty much anything from a cube, out, would define "Balance"
What are your ideas on "Balance"

Balance - Being about to cross a creek on a narrow log without falling in.
Balance in 3D, especially with things that we are familiar with - like buildings, cars, etc. require that the focus of the viewers eyes remain on the intent of the 3D artist.
Making buildings or other that appear to float on some artificial surface tends to be distracting. This is usually seen when 2D photoshopping and 3D are combined.
Symmetry I think, goes hand in hand with balance.
Could be like a bank balance.... into the negative numbers

here are a few objects to be included into a model for this balance scene...
Can you guess what the model is?
It is no doubt a croquet game in progress.
A ship's masts?

Sorry for the absence, work is tipping the balance in my schedule.
Here's one from me, not THE idea I was thinking of, but something simple to serve as a warm-up exercise. Wings for the basic modeling and Blender for fine tuning the mesh and rendering.
Ever tried doing something like this with real nails? I did, but all the nails I could find were bent and of various sizes, so no luck here...
