Actually, there are loads of sites designed with these software...because without the software, there'd be no graphics to put on the net. All of the graphics for talkgraphics were created in Xara X (main page then imported to Flash for some post work). Xara.com is pure Xara X in graphics design. Yeah, I know, they are our companies so we have an obligation to use Xx. But quite a few heavy weights use Xara X. NASA does it for some of their design work, MCI for their intranet design, the Fed for their sites, KPMG, etc, etc.

In terms of photo editing, a lot of the bitmap editors have reached their maturity. What other tools can they throw in for editing? There are so many already, it's almost overkill. Perhaps the only way they can go now is moving towards vector work, better Web-related features and perhaps more integration with digital photography needs (indexing, albums, categorizing, thumbnailing????)
