You lot are friggin geniuses To be honest I held back posting the picture because I'm sure you're always getting mithered to do others. I was just after an idea how you did it, and you didn't fail on that one. Thanks again.

    blootoof

just so you know I did not trace that by hand!
I used the bitmap tracer tool in inkscape but xara has one too though many prefer to do it by hand.
This sort of thing is very easy with xara once youve learnt how
there are real 3D experts out there and if youve searched the forum youll have seen them at work
    for example:

I'm curious, do you just select your bitmap after you insert into your document, then copy and paste it into Xara3D?

    heres what I did:

screen captured the logo as png
imported it into inscape and used bitmap tracer to trace it to vector
could have used xara, but inkscape gives crisper line for this and you avoid having to remove background join shapes etc.
save as pdf from inkscape and imported this into xara and saved as xar
the xar file is then imported into xara 3D

EDIT - it would appear you can copy and paste the pdf import vector from xara pro to xara3D direct but I prefer to save the file and then import it from within xara3D

Hi Tom. Yes Inkscape has a version for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

Here is my version to test Xtreme Pro and 3d6. It seems both programs work very well together.
