Hi All,

I'm a newbie to PSP 8...I've owned it for some time, but I use it only very occassionaly for specific tasks. I've managed to play and muddle through many basics, but consider myself to be a real novice for the most part.

The task (and problem) I have at the moment is this. I have a .bmp of a texture which is used as an aerial veiw of ocean water (waves). It's not the kind of waveform which you would see in a painting, but one that would appear looking from the window of a 737 at 5000 feet of altitude, for example.

I need to change the appearance of the texture, and I have tried and tried to figure this out on my own. I would like to change the scale of the texture as it appears in the .bmp file, and I would like to change the color and lighting attributes somewhat. Everything I try seems to destroy some aspect of the appearance.

Can anyone advise me as how and where to begin in trying to solve this? I suppose I should post a pic of the .bmp, but I'll wait for any suggestions first.

Thanks in advance...
