Anyone but me having problems getting the origin set to the upper left with Y increasing in the downwards direction?

All I did was go into the options and change the option for Y to increase downwards. However, the rulers still show that the upper left corner is 0, 600.

If I then create an object, the Y co-ordinate is a negative number. So I change the location manually, and the rectangle jumps downwards off the page.

From the looks of it, it's treating the upper left corner of the object as the origin, but the global page co-ordinates are still negative.

Incidentally, if I close Xara and then open it again, the Grid options return to Y going in the upward direction.

Odat I set the Options then drag the origin to the upper left of the page.

    Ahh thank you, that works!

My bad. I figured that since I was telling it the co-ordinates should increase the other way, it would automatically assume that 0 was at the top and not the bottom.

Although strangely that option (and the grid origin) does always reset itself whenever I open a new drawing. However as someone has already pointed out, the default template seems to be currently ignored, so the two issues are probably related.

I've noticed it doesn't load my default template I saved earlier this evening.

Another thing, after making the changes for the Origin and Y increasing going down. If you open the Options it will show the old X=0 Y=600 although the coordinates will report correctly in the X and Y location boxes as long as your are working on the same drawing.

Soquili, can you attach the template you have tried to set as the default please?

    Many thanks
