In the professional world, I don't think that the price is as sensitive as you would have us believe, nor is it as sensitive in the hobbyist world either. I think that Xara have come to realise this, as well as the danger that underfunding development at the lower price point might endanger their professional following as rival product continues to be developed. I think the pantone features was particularly a problem in some circles.

I think they have it right. At $200 I still think Xara software is comparatively cheap software (though I am now hoping for great things in the future).
