object fill

Hi

the attached file is a group banner 15 from the galery and I want to make it yellow/gold, yet when I try to select a fill it stays white. I've tried breaking the group but it still doesn't work

Can someone tell me why am I missing something?

They are lines, not closed shapes.

I've tried breaking up the drawing and converting lines to shapes and then filling but to no avail. Is there an easy way to put a fill in?

Quick solution:

- Select the red ribbon and Arrange > Convert Line To Shape
- Copy and paste the shape
- Draw a rectangle with no outlines and place it under the copy
- Select the copy and rectangle and Arrange > Combine Shapes > Subtract
- Arrange > Break Shapes
- Delete rectangle
- Select the remaining shapes and Arrange > Add Shapes
- Place the shape right under the original red ribbon
- Voila !
