convert PDF to vector

I have a client who wants to make some changes in his logo. He sent me a PDF file. Does anyone know of a method or software (preferably free because I don't expect to do this often) that can convert the PDF to a vector format (.eps?) that I can then import into Xtreme?

Just a suggestion.

Maybe someone on this forum with a program that can do that could do it for you, being a single shot.

I have a few programs in mind but I'll keep that to each of you you own these programs to offer your help...

Btw I am waiting for my own piece of software that I ordered this week that will do that, so I can't do it yet.

Actually, Illustrator uses PDF as its native file format.

If you e-mail the PDF file to me (gary@gwpriester.com) and add a subject line "Xara user needs help", I'll see if I can get you a Xara file.

You could even try selecting the logo and doing a copy/paste into Xara. I've had success with that before, although it may have been with Acrobat Pro rather than reader.
